@ Zimoun Studio
kinetic installations, sound art

Zimoun Studio creates kinetic sound installations where mechanical repetition and variation generate evolving soundscapes. As an artist assistant and executive director, I contributed to the development, fabrication, and installation of these works, leading a team in prototyping kinetic sculptures, handling technical design and planning, and producing visualizations and video documentation. I also created video artworks and animations, and managed teams of technicians and volunteers for on-site installations in museums and art spaces.

Zimoun Studio is known for its kinetic sound installations, where mechanical motion produces complex, organic sound environments. These works are often site-specific, transforming architectural spaces through the distribution of many identical mechanical modules in independent motion.
As an artist assistant and executive director, I was involved in the full creative process, from concept development to final execution. In the workshop, I led a creative team in prototyping and fabricating kinetic sculptures, refining mechanical components, and overseeing production. In the office, I was responsible for technical design, project planning, and producing visualizations for proposals and competitions.  Beyond physical installations, I worked on the studio’s video production, creating animations, video compositions, and 3D-rendered visual artworks that documented and expanded upon the projects. I also handled video editing, compositing, and post-production for archival and promotional materials.  On-site, I managed installation teams, coordinating technicians and volunteers to assemble kinetic works in museums, art institutions, and festivals. This involved ensuring the precise setup, clean aesthetics, and smooth operation of mechanical systems, as well as troubleshooting and adapting installations to different architectural environments.
